Women for Change aims to provide women who have suffered childhood
sexual abuse, or sexual violence, with help, support and encouragement
towards healing, self esteem and confidence in a better future.’
To
meet our objectives:-
Women for Change has developed
a support programme, adapted from an American model whose co-authors,
DeAnn Yamamoto Nading and Gayle Stringer, both have long term
experience in working in and training in the field of sexual
abuse. Our programme will be run by two experienced counsellors.
The programme is aptly entitled ‘A celebration of healing’.
Women for Change is currently working to develop a ‘foundation’ that
will be used as a funding basis for work in the field of
sexual abuse.
